Last night's episode of NXT was one of the most boring hours of television I have watched since I watched a whole hour of the presidential inauguration ceremony with my grand father back in 09, but I digress, half of last night's show was a challenge in which the 8 rookies were supposed to talk for 30 seconds about a random subject. It was stupid and a waste of time for them to do this on an hour long program this challenge made the first half of NXT nothing but commercials and bullshit. I had thought that since each of the NXT rookies are talented wrestlers and that the matches of the night were rookie vs pro matches they would make up for that boring half hour at the begining of the show, boy was I wrong.
The first match was Christian vs Wade Barrett which was entertaining but much too short, Christian defeated Barrett by pinfall after hitting the killswitch on him made possible not only by Heath Slater's involvement in the match, but Jericho's as well.
The next match was William Regal vs Daniel Bryan, a match that should have been a lot better than it was Regal and Bryan are both extremely talented competeters and should have had a great match instead at the end when William Regal pinned Bryan after a knee lift I said to myself what a rip off, and it was on free tv.
In the main event of the night rookie Darren Young defeated Luke Gallows of the Straight Edge Society and saved himself from the humiliation of being shaved bald against his will by CM Punk even though I personally wanted this to happen I think the WWE universe is adversly against anyone losing there hair except CM Punk which just proves that he is getting over as one of the best heels of all time, because no one likes Darren Young, and the fact that they hate CM Punk enough to cheer for him solidifies Punk as WWE's top heel in my book.
